We Are Now Centrally Located in Richmond

Yesterday was move-in day as we consolidated our Berea office with our Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.

Now our home hospice program, home palliative program, bereavement care, and administrative staff are all located on the Center’s campus.

IT manager, Matthew Donahue, and My 3 Sons mover, transfer the last boxes from the Berea central office to the Compassionate Care Center.

“We made this decision as part of our strategic plan. It makes us more efficient, financially stronger, and improves care,” says Hospice Care Plus CEO, Lisa Cox.

The final step of consolidation is to relocate our medical equipment inventory to the Center’s campus, which is expected to happen in the spring. Formerly, the medical equipment was housed in a rented space in Berea.

Construction is underway on a modest building next to the Center to make space for the additional staff, equipment, and supplies.

Our primary phone number remains 859-986-1500, and that line now rings to the Hospice Care Plus Compassionate Care Center. Family members with a loved one at the Compassionate Care Center may still call 859-626-9292. The mailing address for all of Hospice Care Plus’s programs is now 350 Isaacs Lane, Richmond.

Our nonprofit organization is funding the consolidation, and the new structure, through our Building Better Together Capital Campaign, which runs now through spring.

Hospice Care Plus was founded as a non-profit organization to support the quality of life of its communities through hospice, palliative, and bereavement care programs. The organization serves Estill, Jackson, Lee, Madison, Owsley, and Rockcastle counties and owns and operates the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. Relying on contributions from individuals and groups, all care is provided regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.
