For the seventh year, Arthur and Jackie Dixon, owners of L&P Liquor and Yesterday’s Bar & Grill in Richmond, are hosting the L&P Poker Ride and dedicating all proceeds to Hospice Care Plus.
This year’s Poker Ride is on Saturday, Sept. 10 at Yesterday’s on Heath East Street. Registration begins at 11 a.m. The ride begins at 1 p.m.
Registration is $10 per bike or $15 with a passenger. The fee includes the ride along with access to the rest of the day’s festivities: raffle, silent auction, music, door prizes, and games. A dinner following the ride is available for an additional $10.
Nikki Stuart at Hospice Care Plus says that the Poker Ride event helps the non-profit meet its fundraising goals.
“We have to raise funds to support our programs and services, so it’s wonderful that Arthur and Jackie help us with that by organizing and hosting this event every year. We’ve been able to count on those additional dollars for several years now, and that’s priceless. We are so grateful to them and to everyone involved in the Poker Ride.”
