Dr. Rondal Goble is the new chief medical director for Hospice Care Plus.

“Dr. Goble’s effortless ease of communication is instantly comforting; he is compassionate and has a delightful personality,” says Dr. Budeiri. “Above all, he is a sincere supporter of our community and a firm believer in honoring patients’ wishes and respecting families. Dr. Goble is a wonderful asset to Hospice Care Plus and our community.”

Dr. Goble brings decades of experience to the chief medical director position. He is board certified in family medicine and has worked in primary care and emergency medicine for most of his career. Dr. Goble is certified in advanced trauma life support, advanced cardiovascular life support, and pediatric advanced life support. He has been in private practice in Irvine since 2016, practices as a wound care specialist, and has served as a medical director for long-term care facilities in Madison and Estill counties. Dr. Goble is a fellow with the American Academy of Family Practice and a recipient of the American Medical Association’s Physician Recognition Award.

Dr. Goble’s broad experience has prepared him well for his new position with Hospice Care Plus.

“I have had the privilege of attending to the diverse medical needs of the region’s residents. I have witnessed the resilience and strength of individuals facing various health challenges,” says Dr. Goble. “Over the years, I have developed a profound understanding of the importance of compassionate care for patients and families. Being a hospice medical director allows me to merge my decades of experience with my newfound dedication to offering dignified and compassionate care to patients and families coping with a serious or terminal illness. Every patient under my care is a person with a unique life story, and I strive to honor their journey by providing support, symptom management, and guidance to both patients and their families.”

As chief medical director, Dr. Goble will provide oversight for policies and practice in all of Hospice Care Plus’s clinical programs: home hospice care, home palliative care, and the Compassionate Care Center. He will also lead interdisciplinary care team meetings and serve as the attending physician for hospice patients when requested.

“I am honored to welcome Dr. Goble to our team,” says Lisa Cox, CEO. “He is known in the community as a caring, compassionate physician. He embodies the hospice philosophy of expert, interdisciplinary care that promotes quality of life for patients and supports family caregivers.”
