Volunteers are vital to our mission.
Volunteers founded our organization in 1981. More than 40 years later, they are as important as ever to the care we provide.
We invite you to join our volunteer team. There are many programs to choose from and a variety of ways to be involved.
Our volunteers come from all walks of life. Some work during the day, some are retired, and others volunteer while attending school. Whatever your life allows, we work with you to find an opportunity that fits.
While training is required, we make it as easy as possible to get started.
Getting started is easy.
Fill out a volunteer training interest form. Our Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you with next steps.
Call or email us. You can call us during regular work hours to talk about volunteer opportunities, or send an email to volunteer@hospicecp.org.
Submit our Volunteer Application. If you know you want to volunteer, feel free to go ahead and complete a volunteer application. We’ll reach out to you once it’s reviewed.
Here are just some of the ways you can be part of our care and services.
Volunteers are matched with patients and caregivers who need a little extra support. They may call to check on them, agree to visit every couple of weeks for companionship, or give the caregiver a break for a few hours. Volunteers in this role may bring special skills to the match, such as scrapbooking, that come in handy in working with a caregiver or patient. Care and companionship volunteers might agree to one-time matches for a simple task, like running an errand, or commit to a long-term match involving ongoing visits.
