Register Now for the Kilted Classic

The second annual Kilted Classic is coming to Richmond on Friday, Sept. 16.

The University Club at Arlington will play host to the event, created and organized by local attorney, golfer, and Celtic enthusiast, Jud Patterson.

The fun begins Thursday night, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m. at the Mule Barn at Arlington with a pre-party featuring Nashville songwriter Mark Burke, drinks, dinner, and a Calcutta auction.

The shamble begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on Thursday. Although many will wear kilts, they are not required.

Mr. Patterson founded the event last year to give back to Hospice Care Plus, which cared for his parents, and to encourage others to support hospice care in the community.

“Jud brings so much heart to this event,” says Nikki Stuart with Hospice Care Plus. “He wants everyone to have a great time, but he also wants to make sure people remember the purpose of the event. It’s a beautiful way to honor his parents, to support hospice care, and to bring a new, fun event to the area all at the same time.”

The entry fee is $125 per person or $500 per team and includes pre-party reservations. Registration is available online or by contacting Mr. Patterson at jud@luxonpatterson.com. For questions, contact Jud Patterson by email or Nikki Stuart at Hospice Care Plus at 986-1500.

All proceeds will be donated to Hospice Care Plus.
