Rockin’ Derby Eve Benefit Friday May 2

Reservations are now open for the Derby Eve Benefit Party: Rockin’ Derby Eve! This adult only event is the longest running derby eve tradition in Madison County, and this year promises to be bigger and better than ever. Rockin’ Derby Eve will take place on Friday, May 2, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Richardson Hall on the Madison County Fairgrounds.

Join us for an evening filled with music, food, fun, and, most importantly, a chance to support Hospice Care Plus and the incredible work we do for families across Estill, Jackson, Lee, Madison, Owsley, and Rockcastle counties.

Why Attend?

“Rockin’ Derby Eve is more than just a celebration—it’s our largest fundraiser and it supports the vital services provided by Hospice Care Plus.” says Director of Community Engagement, Jenny Niece. “That includes home hospice care, in-patient hospice care at our Compassionate Care Center and our grief & loss support program. This event has helped us continue offering these essential services. Your participation directly helps us continue to provide compassionate care, comfort, and dignity to those who need it most.”

What’s in Store:

This year’s event will feature live music by new local band, Grouper Soup. Whether you’re a fan of classic rock or just love a good time, this band will bring the best of the past four decades! There will also be a 4-course meal, charcuterie table with an array of meats, cheeses, and accompaniments, and delicious southern desserts including the popular derby pie. Guests can also enjoy complimentary wine, beer, and our signature cocktail and crowd favorite, the KY Oaks Lily. Additionally, there will be a $5 cash bar featuring an assortment of mixed drinks. As always, the event will feature a live and silent auction, games & raffles, a professional photographer on site and a photo booth to capture all the fun.

What to Wear? Attire for the event is anything from fancy to casual. Dress to impress in your finest Derby attire, or keep it relaxed and comfortable for a fun, laid-back vibe. Really get into the spirit of Derby? Make sure to sport your best derby hat for a Derby Hat contest! The top 3 winners will walk away with a prize at Rockin’ Derby Eve.
