The 7th Annual Lemetta Dause Memorial Bowling Tournament is set for Sunday, Feb. 4, 1:30 p.m., at Galaxy Bowling Center in Richmond.
The tournament is organized by the Madison County Bowling Association (MCBA) in memory of Mrs. Dause, who was cared for by Hospice Care Plus.
Judy Poynter of the Madison County Bowling Association happily counts funds raised at a recent Lemetta Dause Memorial Tournament. This year’s event is Feb. 4.
According to tournament organizer Harvey Poynter, the event has raised just over $33,000 in its first five years. He says MCBA has set a goal to top $50,000 with this year’s tournament.
Every participant will receive a ticket for a chance to take home one of several door prizes, given away at the end of the tournament. Prizes are also awarded at that time, and a large silent auction will be held.
The entry fee is $20 for the 3-6-9 no-tap tournament, which is open to all bowlers. The fee includes four games.
Corporate sponsorships of $500, $250, and $100 are still available and include publicity.
