Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Compassionate Care Plus is preparing for our next New Volunteer Training, and we would love to have you join us!
Our two-part, in-person training will be held Tuesday, October 20, and Thursday, October 22, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Madison County Public Library’s Berea location.
During training, participants will learn more about Compassionate Care Plus, the patients and families we serve, and the many ways volunteers support our mission.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to volunteering at Compassionate Care Plus. Some volunteers spend time providing companionship and support to patients and families, while others lend a hand at the Compassionate Care Center, assist with special events or community outreach, help with office projects, support our Grief & Loss programs, or share their own unique talents.
“Our volunteers come to us with different interests, talents and amounts of time to give,” said Mariah Smith, Volunteer Coordinator. “We work with each person to help them find a role that is comfortable, meaningful and a good fit for them.”

This is a two-part training, and both sessions are required for new volunteers. Registration is open through Sunday, October 18.
Volunteers age 14 and older are welcome, and no healthcare experience is necessary.

Compassionate Care Plus (formerly Hospice Care Plus) was founded as a non-profit organization to support the quality of life of its communities through home hospice care, in-patient care at our Compassionate Care Center, and grief & loss support programs. We serve Estill, Jackson, Lee, Madison, Owsley, and Rockcastle counties and own and operate the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.
