Our Grief & Loss Support Services are available to caregivers and families of hospice patients as well as the community at large. Thanks to the support of our donors, these services are provided at no cost.
Our support groups and series are facilitated by professional staff offering peer support and compassionate dialogue. We ask that you pre-register for group events and gatherings. Weekly Grief Support Gathering:
Our weekly grief support gathering takes place on Fridays from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at our Compassionate Care Center (350 Isaacs Ln) in Richmond. This is a weekly group facilitated by professional staff offering peer support and compassionate dialogue. Learn more and pre-register online.
Evening Grief Support Gathering:
We offer bi-monthly evening grief support on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Madison County Public Library (319 Chestnut Street, Berea).
We ask that you pre-register before attending by filling out the contact form or by calling 859-986-1500.
Compassionate Friends: for Bereaved Parents:
We offer the meeting space for this peer support group of bereaved parents. The group meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Compassionate Care Center. Please direct questions to Denise at 859-986-1500.
Shadowbox Memorial Workshops
We will offer 5 separate opportunities to attend a shadowbox memorial workshop this year. These two hour workshops will be offered at the Compassionate Care Center, 350 Isaacs Lane, Richmond.
We ask that you pre-register for these workshops by filling out the contact form or by calling 859-986-1500. See dates and times below:

Staff will contact pre-registrants to answer questions and share ideas about what momentos to bring for the shadowbox. Light refreshments will be served and there will be the opportunity to share memories and stories of our loved ones.

Remembrance Tree Ceremony
First Sunday in December
For decades, the Remembrance Tree Ceremony has been a chance for the community to remember loved ones during the holiday season.
Anyone who misses a loved one during the holidays is welcome to participate, regardless of whether your loved one was cared for by our hospice.

This booklet was created and published by our Grief and Loss Support team. We're happy to mail this to anyone who would like extra support as they grieve the loss of a loved one, regardless of whether our organization cared for them.
